History

Established in 1946

FIB was set up in 1946. The firm quickly becomes a specialist insulation company for the food and dairy industry in the northern Netherlands. The company settles in its current location on Einsteinweg in Leeuwarden in 1970. Over time the premises are extended to include a number of large production halls. The focus is on processing stainless steel.

In the early 1980s, FIB develops a new beer storage system for the catering trade. An innovation featuring 2 single-walled tanks containing 1,000 litres of cold beer. Beer technology and refrigeration technology are both implemented by FIB.

In the late 1990s, the tank plus liner makes its debut. Beer tanks in various sizes and volumes then follow; single-walled tanks in a refrigerated unit or double-walled tanks on display for the consumer.

FIB Beer Systems specialises in the design and production of beer delivery vehicles. Volumes possible from 1,000 litres.

The slogan “From the brewery to the glass” is introduced.

In 2018 the slogan was changed to: “A BETTER WAY TO SERVE BEER”.
